The Berlin Wall

An estimated 5000 people crossed escaped to West Germany in a variety of ways.

Some people would take hot air baloons to the other side, some would dig long tunnels.
People would speed sports cars strait through the checkpoints, so the government added a bar to prevent people from doing this. Someone found a work-around where a car’s roof would come of on the rod, they would lie flat, and keep driving.

A man sped an armored car strait into the wall, where he managed to make it to the other side.

Another person took an airplane from the military training grounds, and flew it over.
